My heart belongs to a Ridgeback

Strong and friendly spirited,
A beauty of a breed,
A red Rhodesian Ridgeback,
Is a loyal dog indeed.

A ridge of hair,
Runs down its back,
To set this dog apart,
One look at that Rhodesian red,
And I had lost my heart.

Resting by my chair at night,
Or sharing play outside,
I can't imagine life without
My Ridgeback by my side.
